Forester’s Hut
This actual recycled forestry hut is the perfect rustic cabin for up to 10 people to enjoy each other’s company under the stunning Mount Barney and surrounding mountains.
- Bound up the front staircase onto the wide covered veranda and relax on the chairs and take in the glorious views.
- Unpack your bags so when you’re ready, you can fall asleep in peace in either the main bedroom or one of the two bunk rooms. (BYO linen, or hire from us).
- Rustle up a hearty feast in the fully self-contained kitchen.
- Enjoy your feast out the back on the picnic tables in the covered outdoor patio.
- With the meal out of the way, it’s time to tell stories around the huge roaring fireplace. (Wood supplied for your first night in winter.)
- It’s a short walk to showers and toilets in the nearby amenities block.
Henry’s Hut
This self-contained mini homestead is ideal for the family break when you want a bush getaway, without towing your accommodation or erecting it.
- Create family favourite meals in the fully equipped kitchen or out on the gas BBQ.
- Warm up around the pot belly stove in winter (your first night’s wood supplied in winter)
- Relax on the balcony or in the courtyard and take in the blissful serenity
- Wake up to birdsong from the main bedroom, bunk room or sleepout. (BYO linen, or hire from us)
- Showers and toilets in adjacent amenities block
The practical stuff
For cabins we provide you with basic linen needs, such as tea towels and tablecloths along with doonas and spare blankets. You will need to bring your own sheets, pillows and towels, or you can have us provide it all for you with our Linen Hire option.
For just $25pp, we will supply linen and have beds made up for your arrival (minimum 48hrs notice required).
Hire linen includes: sheets, pillows and pillowcases, doonas, bath towels, face washers, hand towel and bath mat.
The kitchens are fully self-contained with all crockery, cutlery, glassware, pots, pans, serving bowls etc, toaster, microwave oven, full size fridge and oven; and tea and coffee making facilities with complimentary tea, coffee and milk provided.
Strictly 2:00pm check-in and 10:00am check-out. (Unless otherwise advised).
Please check-in at the Office during office hours when you first arrive onsite:
- Saturday - Thursday 8:00am- 4:00pm
- Friday 8:00am- 6:00pm
We can email after-hours check-in instructions to you if you plan to arrive after office hours. Just let us know.
Pets are not permitted to stay in the Homesteads or Cabins. They are only permitted to stay in the specific pet friendly camping areas.
If you book both homesteads, we recommend the use of the function room below Boolamoola Homestead for gatherings and meals.
The function room can comfortably seat up to 30 guests in a variety of seating arrangements, and can even be set up out-side to take advantage of the surrounding gardens and mountain views.
Included is a kitchenette, microwave oven, commercial size fridge, commercial size BBQ, chairs, tables, crockery and cutlery for up to 50 guests. There are also tea and coffee making facilities, a white-board, and bathroom with toilet. Contact us for our special function room hire fees and to reserve it.
